Advice if you are travelling to the Frome Independent Market tomorrow

If you’re planning your trip to market, here’s some information to help…

The December market is a busy one, so if you can leave the car at home, the trains are by far the best option. Great Western Railway services arrive at 09:22 and 10.31 from Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire Stations, with return trains throughout the afternoon and early evening. For full info, check out our website (link below)

If you’re coming by car please be prepared for busy roads, and make sure you park legally and safely – the best place is in one of our designated Park & Ride carparks. Park your car at Frome Medical Practice, BA11 2FH or Selwood Academy, BA11 2EF and hop on the bus for a small fee. First bus 10am, last bus from town centre 3.45pm.

Both car parks are around a 10 – 15 minute walk from the centre of the market, so feel free to park and walk if you wish.

There will be extra buses this Sunday as well as a new shuttle bus service from the Marston Trading Estate / Handlemaker Road. All our buses are fully accessible with space for a wheelchair, and we keep disabled spaces free in the town centre for blue badge holders.

All visitors are kindly requested to park with consideration for Frome residents and businesses and not to block driveways, junctions or park on pavements.
